Listen.
A 60-minute consultation in your home. We hear what you play, ask what you hope for.
Orken is a private music consultancy. We design personal advisory plans, mentor practising musicians, produce recitals, and source the right instruments — all under one roof, all in the home.
Music academies enrol classes and certify grades. We don't. Orken is a private music consultancy: we listen, we plan, we mentor, we produce. The work happens in your home, around your life, at your pace.
I founded Orken in 2026, after fifteen years working privately with musicians — first in London, then in Paris, now here in the UAE. Along the way I worked alongside two large academies and learned exactly what I didn't want to build.
Orken is small. It will stay small. We are a small house of senior consultants who all work the way I work: slowly, patiently, by hand. Every advisory plan I write is six months long, on paper, with the musician's name on the cover. Every session happens in your home. Every Tuesday at five, it is the same consultant knocking on the same door.
Orken is not a music school and we don't certify grades. What we do is older and quieter: we mentor practising musicians, we plan their next six months, we produce their recitals, and we source the instruments they grow into.
After your initial consultation, we write a six-month advisory plan and send you the first chapter. It arrives bound, on paper, with your name on the cover.
Inside: monthly milestones, weekly practice notes, repertoire suggestions, and an honest paragraph about where we will need patience.

A bound, six-month advisory plan, written by hand. Delivered before session two.
Same consultant, weekly, at home. Notes after every session. Steady, slow, certain.
Quarterly, we revisit the plan together. The plan bends. The musician doesn't break.

Grade exams are a maze of syllabuses, scales, repertoire lists and timing windows. We advise families on which board to choose, which grade to enter, what to play, and how to plan the months between now and the exam date.
We are not an examination centre and we do not register or examine candidates. Our role is advisory: structure, strategy, and an honest second opinion.
ABRSM, Trinity College London and MTB are independent awarding bodies. Orken is not endorsed by any awarding body.
We tried two academies before Orken. Six months in, our daughter sits at the piano on her own — without being asked. That has never happened. The sessions don't feel like instruction anymore. They feel like Tuesdays she looks forward to.
My son was preparing for a major audition. The Orken consultant wrote a twelve-week plan the same evening she met him. He went in ready, and it showed.
I came back to piano at 47 after thirty years away. I was embarrassed. My Orken consultant was patient enough that I forgot to be embarrassed.
